After attending this session, participants will be able to:
Describe the challenges in anesthetic management of catheter-based approaches to treating high-risk pulmonary embolism as well as the anesthesiologist’s role in multi-disciplinary pulmonary embolism response teams (PERT).
Provide an overview of Post Intensive Care Syndrome including a discussion of pain assessment and management with a review of Persistent Post Intensive Care Pain.
Provide a brief overview of Pulmonary hypertension physiology including assessment and management of RV failure with a review of interventions and management of pulmonary hypertension in the ICU.
