Adelaide Hills Kids Farmers Market
Adelaide Hills Kids Farmers Market 2021
Event Date: Sunday 5th December Event time: 10:30 am - 1:30 pm Event Location: Four Oaks Farm, 23 Downing Road, Littlehampton
Hello,
Thank you for showing interest in participating in the Adelaide Hills Kids Farmers Market 2021.
The aim is to encourage people to grow fresh produce, who may not always do so and to learn new skills. The aim is to see a broad array of people across the Adelaide Hills, participate in the market.
Please be aware your application may not be successful, but you can apply in the future.
Your stall space must be covered by public liability and product liability Insurance. We may be able to assist you in this area if you are not covered.
That is why schools, kindergartens, childcare operations, community groups and community gardens etc. are encouraged to apply, with people encouraged to work with these operations.
You can sell any produce kids have helped grow or farmed. Fresh produce, herbs, fruit, vegetables, seeds, harvested nuts, flowers and pot plants etc. are all suitable. Be creative!
A stall can also be for fundraising purposes and people can bring items they have grown at home.
Products deemed unsuitable (food wise) cannot be sold. People will be advised. People will also be advised by the local Council for the area re food approvals. See details re form to be filled in below.
You can also sell your own hand made sustainable items if you wish as well.
You can be involved with providing lunch stalls. There is also a new wood-fired pizza oven on site to use.
One can also be involved as a musician.
A reply will be provided as soon as possible, if you are successful - so you can start gardening and work on stalls ASAP!
An information pack with more market details can also be sent.
Please be aware you need to fill in a temporary food notification form to go to Mount Barker District Council which will be sent to you via a link by the Event Coordinator. The form is required to be completed and lodged with Council where a food handling activity is to be held on a once-off basis.
Stalls should also have a COVID-19 Marshall. If you know of someone who is already in that position please encourage them to assist. If you do not have a COVID-19 Marshall please visit:
Please make sure your stall also has hand sanitiser on site.
Note: Please contact the Event Coordinator if you need any assistance with COVID-19 matters.
Finally, send through food approvals to the Event Coordinator, so I know what you are selling. You can put 'all approved', if all approved by the Council. Photos you may have of kids doing things in the garden, on a farm, classroom, kitchen, backyard and elsewhere to promote activities alongside stall/s at the market are welcomed.
