New Playground For Holmes Park
In 2019-2020, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board will be replacing the playground at Holmes Park. We are currently requesting feedback from the community to direct the design for the playground. A concept plan for the playground will be based on feedback received from community through spring and early summer 2019. The design will closely follow the newly adopted Master Plan for the park, The project design will be finalized this summer with construction occurring in the fall of 2019 through spring 2020. The playground is being built within the existing play container footprint and will involve new surfacing and play equipment. Funding for the project is from CIP (Capital Improvement Project) in the amount of $291,900. Funding goes towards staff time for design, materials and construction.
