Language Barriers and Translation Needs in Orthopedic Practice

You are being invited to take part in a research study led by Dr. Anthony Albers and Dr. Jennifer Mutch Orthopaedic Surgeons affiliated with McGill University. The purpose of this study is to better understand language barriers in orthopedic practice and to guide the development of translation aids for improving patient education and care. If you choose to participate, you will complete a short online survey (less than 5 minutes). Questions will focus on your experiences with language and communication in practice.

Your participation is voluntary, and you may stop the survey at any point without penalty. If you withdraw before completing, no responses will be saved. Because responses are anonymous, once submitted they cannot be withdrawn. No individual will be identified in any reports or publications and only the research team will have access to the anonymized data.

If you agree to participate, please answer the question below to proceed to the survey. At the end of the survey, you can enter your email for a chance to win a 100$ amazon gift card. You will also have an option to participate in further studies regarding multilingual resources and communication tools in orthopedic practice, this is also completely voluntary.

We appreciate your time and consideration.
