FY27 Durham Annual Transit Work Program (Budget) Survey

Welcome to the Durham Transit Work Program Survey

The input collected from residents through this survey will help shape next year’s Transit Work Program (FY2027). The Transit Work Program is Durham’s yearly plan and budget for transit. It determines how transit money will be spent and what projects and services will be worked on in the coming year.

Each year, staff from the City of Durham/GoDurham, GoTriangle, Durham County, and Triangle West Transportation Planning Organization work together as the Staff Working Group (SWG). This group uses the 2023 Transit Plan, which describes Durham’s long‑term transit goals, to help shape the yearly Work Program and turn those goals into real projects and services.

The Work Program includes:

· Improvements to bus service and bus stops

· New and expanded routes

· Major construction and equipment projects

· Planning and design work for future transit needs

· How much transit money we expect to receive and spend

· Multi‑year plans for operating transit service and building new projects

· How local transit agencies will coordinate their work

Survey results will be shared with the Durham Board of County Commissioners and the GoTriangle Board of Trustees to support their decisions for the upcoming year.
