Thank you for your interest in this research study. These qualifying questions should take about 10 minutes to complete.

What is this?

This is a short screener for a paid, in-person research study about drinks, including ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages. If your responses indicate that you may qualify, we will contact you by email to complete a brief 5 to 10 minute qualification check, either through an online platform or via Zoom.

Once your eligibility has been confirmed, selected participants will receive full details of their session.

What is the study about?

If selected, you will take part in one in-person session in your city between Monday, November 2 and Tuesday, November 10. There are two ways to take part:

  • Option 1 - Group discussion: a 2.5-hour conversation with 5 or 6 other people
  • Option 2 - Friends' get-together: a 2-hour session with two of your friends, plus a 45-minute digital activity each of you completes at least 2 days before the session

Session dates and times (all in local time):

  • Chicago: all sessions on Monday, November 2.
    • Friends' get-together 11:00 am-1:00 pm;
    • Group discussions 4:00-6:30 pm or 7:00-9:30 pm
  • Detroit:
    • Friends' get-together on Wednesday, November 4, 5:30-7:30 pm.
    • Group discussions on Thursday, November 5, 4:00-6:30 pm or 7:00-9:30 pm
  • Tampa:
    • Friends' get-together on Saturday, November 7, 2:00-4:00 pm
    • Group discussions on Friday, November 6, 4:00-6:30 pm or 7:00-9:30 pm.
  • Los Angeles:
    • Friends' get-togethers on Monday, November 9, 3:00-5:00 pm or 5:30-7:30 pm.
    • Group discussions on Tuesday, November 10, 4:00-6:30 pm or 7:00-9:30 pm

The exact location will be shared with you if you are selected to participate. The sessions may include tasting a small amount of alcoholic drinks. If selected, you will be asked to arrive at least 10 minutes early with a valid government photo ID so we can verify your identity and age.

What do you get?

Participants who complete their session satisfactorily will receive:

  • a $200 USD incentive
  • a $25 USD transportation allowance to use toward Uber, Lyft, or another transportation option

That's a total of $225 USD per participant, paid by e-gift card within 24 hours of completing the session.

For the friends' get-together, each of the three participants will receive their own $225 USD, provided they complete all required activities, including the online activity before the session.

You'll be able to split that amount across dozens of gift card options from a wide range of retailers and services (Amazon, Uber Eats, restaurants, retail stores, and more).
