One of the benefits of belonging to IUFRO is the representation of IUFRO and, thus, global forest-related science, in important international forums such as the United Nations Climate Change and Biodiversity Conventions and the United Nations Forum on Forests.

Through this representation, IUFRO provides opportunities to present scientific work to policy and decision makers, strengthens the impact of science at the science-policy interface, and fosters informed and science-based decision making, in line with IUFRO’s mission.

We are currently investigating ways and means of how to expand our network’s contribution to political processes and the benefits that come with it most efficiently. In this context, we would like to know from you if you are actively engaged in the work of these forums, if your organization is involved, and if there might be opportunities for collaboration.
