Award Criteria

The winner of this award may be an individual or a team. They will have demonstrated creative thinking, innovation, and effective problem-solving by introducing new ideas and approaches that improve services or care delivery. Their innovation should:

- Introduce a new idea, approach, service, or way of working.

- Demonstrate originality or provide a significant improvement to existing practice.

- Include, where relevant, digital innovation, service redesign, or creative approaches to care delivery.

- Show potential for long-term success and sustainable integration into everyday practice.

- Support key Adult Social Care priorities, such as:

- Prevention and early intervention.

- Integration with health services.

- Digital transformation.

- Strengths-based approaches.

- Community-based care.

What are we looking for?

- Evidence of a new idea, initiative, or approach that has been or being developed and implemented to create meaningful and lasting improvements within a service.

- Examples of how the innovation has improved, or is expected to improve, outcomes for the people who access support, colleagues, or the wider organisation.

- Where outcomes have not yet been fully realised, a clear explanation of the anticipated benefits, together with evidence of progress against the objectives of the innovation.

Eligibility Criteria

Open to both individuals and teams.
The innovation, initiative, or improvement must have been developed or implemented within the last 12 months.
The innovation must demonstrate a positive impact on service delivery, care quality, operational effectiveness, or outcomes for people receiving support.
