Dear Participating Schools,
Please fill in this short questionnaire to help us prepare for our visit with you. You will be asked to provide basic information about your school and sustainability involvement so far. The questionnaire should take you no longer then 5 minutes to complete and will be very helpful in our preparations for the trip.
Please note...
Materials needed for the sessions
We ask that schools provide stickies, large paper, white/blu tack, pens, markers and a power outlet for the workshops. The filmmaking session will require paper, coloured pens/markers, stickies, projector, laptop and printed Cycling4SEEd handouts. If it is not possible to provide any of these items, please inform us so we may come up with alternatives.
Editing Student Films
The students footage will be left with the school for them to put together into a 6-minute video in their ICT class. It is also possible for Cycling4SEEd to edit these clips down if it would be easier for the school. The final cut may become part of inaugural documentary 'The UK's Best Sustainable Schools' premiering in London, July 2012. All schools' 6-minute videos will be showcased and shared on the Cycling4SEEd website.
Staff
Michael and Marika are experienced in working with young people and in a school setting.
They will arrive half an hour before the workshop begins and report to the school office in the first instance providing ID and CRB reference details if requested.
Please be aware that both Michael and Marika are workshop facilitators and not qualified teachers. We would ask that a teacher be present at all times during the filmmaking sessions. The teacher will be able to relay our work to the rest of the school team and ensure that the impact of our work is further-reaching.
Issue of consents
Cycling4SEEd will not release or publish any data or footage without prior consent via our Cycling4SEEd Consent Forms.
Head Teacher interview and Teacher questionnaire
We would ask that Head Teachers of participating schools take part in an informal interview (max. 1/2 hour) on the day of the visit. We would also ask that teachers in participating schools fill out an online questionnaire (10 min.) Sample interview questions will be made available for viewing before the date of the planned visit.
We look forward to working with you.
Best wishes,
Marika Ramsden and Michael Cutts
