The goals of the SnackTime Explorers program include:
1. Positively impacting teachers’ and students’ experiences and outcomes with the USDA’s Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP)
2. Supporting students’ development of open mindsets towards trying new foods
3. Increasing teacher access, support, and confidence in delivering integrated food education
As a teacher in the SnackTime Explorers program, you will deliver the SnackTime Explorers mini-lessons in your classroom in conjunction with the USDA FFVP snacks, support 2+ teachers at your school with the SnackTime Explorers educational toolkit, attend orientation, complete a pre-and post-program teacher and student evaluation survey, and attend two mandatory Professional Development Workshops and receive support from the Pilot Light team throughout the school year. Teachers earn a stipend of $500 for the school year. Receipt of the stipend is contingent on completing all of the listed program components.
The program will be one semester (14 weeks): Spring Cohort: 2/9/27-5/25/27.
The application for the Spring Cohort is due on Friday, 1/29/27, and will only record complete responses. While you can do it in more than one sitting, it will time out and delete your progress after 48 hours.
