Butte County Public Health is reviewing and updating the County's local rules and guidance for water wells. The goal is to make sure they reflect current standards, protect groundwater resources, and support the health and wellbeing of our community. This project is expected to continue through 2028, with opportunities for public input along the way.
Whether you own a well, drill wells, rely on a public water system, or simply care about local groundwater, we want to hear from you. Tell us what's working well, what challenges you've experienced, and what changes you'd like to see.
Your feedback will help identify priorities and guide future updates to the County's well requirements and guidance.
