Freedom Schools Buffalo Youth Program Survey
Freedom Schools Buffalo
Freedom Schools Buffalo is an emerging multiracial collective of frontline organizations and community educators working toward justice, equity, diversity and inclusion; inspired by local Haudenosaunee/Native American culture, the Freedom Summer of the Civil Rights movement and the framework of liberation/social justice education. We are reaching out to youth-serving organizations in the context of the pandemics of COVID-19 and racism to support strength, healing and resilience for children, youth and families.
This brief survey (average time of completion is about 1 0 minutes) will help us to leverage existing community assets and fill gaps/needs in a “whole child, whole community” approach to providing meaningful opportunities for young people in these unprecedented times.
Founding organizations include: CoNECT (and the Community Health Worker Network of Buffalo, School Health and Wellness Collaborative, and Peace, Love & Power Collective), Buffalo Urban League, PUSH Buffalo, Native American Community Services, Partnership for the Public Good, and Erie County Restorative Justice Coalition.
