Brookside Feedback

Hyndburn Borough Council and the Prospects Foundation have already delivered some great improvements at Brookside as part of their ongoing work to make this important local green space more welcoming, accessible and enjoyable for local people.

They are now preparing to deliver the next phase of improvements across the site, building on the work already completed and feedback from the local community.

The next phase will include boundary and access improvements, new signage and entrance features, a permissive bridleway route, footpath upgrades and drainage improvements. Work on the ground is expected to begin early in 2027, with the majority of the improvements due to be completed by June 2027.

This next phase has been made possible with valuable funding support from FCC Communities Foundation through the FCC Community Action Fund, and Lancashire Environmental Fund (LEF). A big thank you goes to both funders for helping to make these improvements possible.

The plan below shows the proposed works and where the different improvements will take place.

If you have any comments or feedback about the proposals, please let us know below.
