Survey to Inform Implementation

After almost a year of work, the City of Brooklyn Center recently completed a DRAFT of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan (Plan)!  We are excited about this Plan and the future of our great City and we want to know what you think!  Did we get it right?

Brooklyn Center’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan establishes the community’s long-term vision, goals, strategies and policies for guiding future changes and investments and is intended to serve as a roadmap for the City for the next 20-year planning period.

To develop the community’s vision and goals, the process built on the City’s current vision and mission statements as well as the 2030 Comprehensive Plan that was developed during the last planning period in 2008; while utilizing the most recent market and demographic trends. The process was guided by the Planning Commission, with strong influence from the City Council and included significant engagement with Brooklyn Center’s residents and stakeholders at focused meetings as well as community-wide events.

We need your feedback to make sure that the DRAFT Brooklyn Center 2040 Comprehensive Plan aligns with the community’s aspirations for the future. We’ll use this feedback to help inform implementation priorities going forward. Thank you for your help!
