Due to flood damage causing safety concerns, the wooden Bramwell Bridge at Bennett Spring State Park has been closed to vehicular traffic since June 23, 2022. While the bridge is closed to vehicular traffic, it is currently open and safe for pedestrian and angler use.

Projected construction costs to replace the bridge are estimated at $1,470,000 to $3,000,000. Dependent upon allocated capital improvement funding, bridge replacement would not occur until Fiscal Year 2026, at the earliest. A new truss bridge would raise the road to meet minimum flood requirements.
