About the Awards
Remedy Health Media, with New York City Health Business Leaders (NYCHBL), recognized the Best and Boldest in the digital health field at City Winery on September 20th in New York City. The Boldest Digital health Influencer award showcases our finalists' hard work, achievements, and talents in the following categories:

Judges’ Selection Criteria by Category:
Agency Guru: Selection was based on the impact they are making in the industry as a whole and their experience, position, and company status.
 
Rising Star: Selection was based on the impact they are making within their organization and the level of fervor that they devote to exceeding client goals, along with their experience, position, and company status.

Brand Marketer: Selection was based on their roles as visionaries and leaders for their company and brands they work for, plus their experience, position, and company status. 

Patient Advocate: selection was based on the level of contributions they have made to raise the awareness of a condition and to help inspire and empower other patients.

Also taken into consideration was the number of votes all nominees received during the finalists voting period.
Here are the winners in each category:

Agency Guru:
People from healthcare ad agencies who have made a difference by achieving the highest level of excellence in their workplace and inspired others on their team and/or agency.

2016 Agency Guru Winners:
Lori Grant, President, Klick Health
Lori Grant is President of Klick Health, the world’s largest independent health agency, where she oversees Klick’s thriving client roster and client services teams. Lori has over 25 years of industry experience, both on the client and agency sides. Before being appointed President in January 2014, she was Klick's Senior Vice President of Brand Development and Digital Strategy. Previously, Lori held senior-level roles at large global network agencies and spent the first 11 years of her career within large pharmaceutical companies’ over-the-counter (OTC) and specialty marketing groups.

Chris Duffey, EVP Global Director of Creative Technology, Sudler WPP
Chris is an Award-Winning Creative Director, Noted Speaker, Author and Mobile & Wearable Technologist in the health, wellness & fitness space. Chris has been featured by Business Insider, and Yahoo as one of “The industry’s leaders on the top issues, challenges and opportunities in the fast-changing world of mobile marketing.” For over 20 years Chris has focused on the integration of creative and digital storytelling to generate relevant and memorable user journeys on mobile, wearables, and beyond.

Rising Star:
Recognizes people who are making their marks as outstanding analysts, experts, strategists, and who are making major contributions to their team.

2016 Rising Star Winner:
Catherine Gallagher, Associate Director, Business Intelligence, Publicis Health Media
Catherine Gallagher graduated with a degree in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University. Her eight years in the pharmaceutical industry have been focused on her love for analytics as a marketer, researcher and consultant for TEVA, Shire and IMS Health. Katie joined the agency side three year ago working in an analytical capacity supporting Sanofi and Gilead. She moved from Philadelphia to Chicago last year to help Publicis Health Media grow its Business Intelligence Team which aims to optimize digital marketing utilizing actual patient behaviors. Katie completed her Executive MBA in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing from her alma mater this summer.
Brand Marketer:
Individuals from brands (pharma, specialty, medical device, etc.) who have been innovative and strategic in achieving great marketing success for healthcare.


2016 Brand Marketer Winners

Maria Hamrin Lanzarone, Latin America Regional Team Lead with Pfizer Innovative Health
Maria joined Pfizer in 2003 and has worked in several European markets, the US as well as Global Commercial Development. She currently leads the Innovative Health Pain team in Latin America where she has been instrumental in identifying growth opportunities while evolving the adoption of digital as a new promotional approach. Maria is also the creator and lead for BeLive, a wearable designed to empower Lyrica patients to better manage neuropathic pain. 

Jeremy Shepler, Senior Brand Director, Semaglutide Commercialization and Launch Readiness Novo Nordisk
Bigger, Bolder, Better.  That is the common mantra when it comes to Jeremy’s approach to marketing.  Today, he heads up the commercialization of Novo Nordisk’s next generation GLP-1.  Prior to that he lead, Patient Centric Marketing across the portfolio, where he was responsible for championing patient centricity throughout NNI, ensuring collective actions and decisions enhance patient outcomes and drive top/bottom line growth: POSITIVE OUTCOME, POSITIVE INCOME.  Before joining Novo Nordisk, Jeremy’s time in product marketing experience was spent in small/medium pharma organizations, where smaller budgets forced Jeremy’s to learn how to think “out of the box” while highly scrutinizing every marketing investment.
Patient Advocate:
Patients who have gone above and beyond to share their personal story, network and speak out to support other patients to influence better health outcomes.

2016 Patient Advocate Winners:
Quadricos Driskell, Health Policy Manager, National Psoriasis Foundation
As the health policy manager for the National Psoriasis Foundation, Quadricos brings the patient voice into policy and research deliberations through services to Congress, FDA, CDC and NIH. He is responsible for federal lobbying efforts, securing medical research funding and legislation for psoriatic and chronic disease patients. Presently, Mr. Driskell co-chairs the Coalition for Accessible Treatments (CAT), representing 32 patient and provider groups dedicated to ensuring all Americans have access to critical life-changing and life-saving medications.

Pat Quinn, Co-founder, ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Born and raised in Yonkers, NY, in March of 2013, just one month after Pat Quinn's 30th birthday, he was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or better known as ALS. Shortly after, Pat committed to a mission of spreading awareness for this unknown disease. In July of 2014, the biggest movement in ALS and fundraising history began, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Pat was at the forefront of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge where he connected networks to facilitate in popularizing the Ice Bucket Challenge around the United States and around the world. The 2014 ALS Ice Bucket Challenge raised over $220,000,000 globally.
