Thank you for your interest in serving on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault (WCASA).

WCASA’s mission is creating social change to end sexual violence. The coalition supports a statewide network of concerned individuals and organizations working toward this goal.

While interested individuals can apply year-round, applications received by July 1st will be applying for a term beginning in September of that year. Interviews will be conducted as applications are received and set to conclude at the end of August. Candidates will be notified regardless of whether they are selected or not to advance in the process. If elected, notice will be given in advance of the September Annual Meeting and board members-elect will be asked to attend the Annual Meeting.

We strongly encourage individuals who are committed to our mission to end sexual violence to apply to the board. The entire coalition benefits from a board that reflects diversity of race, culture, ethnicity, geography, religion, age, sexual identity, ability, gender, skill, and personal and professional experience. The board encourages BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and Survivors to apply to the board. We also encourage individuals from throughout the state of Wisconsin to apply.

Board directors are expected to attend and actively participate in at least six (6) board meetings per year and participate on at least one board committee, which will meet monthly. The board will select the dates, times, and locations of the board meetings for the year based upon input received from elected board members. Currently the board meets virtually (via Zoom) for their board and committee meetings, with at least one board meeting in-person.
