Understanding barriers to good maternal health amongst Black women |
Thank you for participating in this survey on maternal health and experiences among black women in the UK, and specifically in Bradford District & Craven. Black women face unique challenges during pregnancy and childbirth, including disparities in access to quality healthcare, experiences of discrimination and bias from healthcare providers, and a lack of culturally sensitive care. Research has shown that black women are more likely to experience complications during pregnancy and childbirth, and are at higher risk of maternal mortality compared to their white counterparts.
By sharing your experiences, you will help us better understand these issues and work towards improving maternal health services for black women. Your insights are invaluable and will contribute to efforts aimed at ensuring equitable, respectful, and high-quality care for all women.
