To enrich Black and minority scholars’ lives and diversify the legal profession by empowering and informing pre-law students. 
 
Black JD's Mission Statement
To provide law school preparatory resources and ensure readiness for:
  • Black and minority scholars who are committed to the path of obtaining a Juris Doctorate degree; and 
  • Mentors, loved ones, and supporters of Black and minority scholars who are committed to the path of obtaining a Juris Doctorate degree.
Board Secretary 
The Secretary of Black JD plays a critical role in fostering communication and ensuring proper management and utilization of necessary organizational records.  Generally, the organization’s Bylaws will set the Secretary’s duties; however, the responsibilities may change from time to time as may be assigned by the Board.  Essential duties include: recording minutes and the roll at meetings; maintaining records; overseeing membership lists; maintaining records and safekeeping of all official and organizational documents; publishing notices of scheduled meetings; tracking board member terms; and managing company email.
