1. Background

Biometric authentication methods are being increasingly used for many types of security applications within for a national ID, law enforcement, physical access control, border control, logical access control, convenience, and much more. Since such methods present and necessitate humans including criminalised sexual minority key populations to be profiled through interaction with such devices, their safety and security by authorities is increasingly being threatened.

This survey seeks to elicit knowledge, attitudes, practices and perceptions related responses from Biometric systems end users
