Homosexuality is a very sensitive issue. As Jews and Christians, we need to love and respect the dignity of every person as made in the image and likeness of God while seeking the truth which God has revealed. We a called to love each person as God loves them.
Many Christians feel conflicted regarding homosexuality: on the one hand they don't want to be considered a self-righteous "homophobe," and on the other hand they want to be faithful to the Bible and its teachings. Most of us know and love family members and friends who are openly gay or lesbian, or those who have children who are. We don't want to push them away by our beliefs in the Gospel. Perhaps this is what motivates attempts to reinterpret the Bible in support of the gay life-style.
This survey intends to explore the key passages of the Bible on homosexuality and how individuals respond to these new interpretations. The survey is design to have educational value, as it seeks to help respondents think about the issues as they answer provocative questions.
