Let’s work together for a gender equitable Southern Metropolitan Region

WHISE will bring together partners from across the Southern Metropolitan Region for an all-day event on Tuesday, 22 August at the Springvale City Hall to celebrate the collective energy and work to achieve intersectional gender equity – the Better Together: WHISE Annual Conference.

WHISE hopes that this conference will deliver an opportunity for our partners to connect, share their work, learn from one another, and celebrate our ongoing commitment to gender equity.

Please note that this is an in-person event only.

WHISE is asking its partners, members and friends to submit expressions of interest to present at our conference on how they are:

- Preventing violence against women and family violence
- Creating gender equitable organisations
- Improving women’s mental health and wellbeing
- Supporting women’s sexual and reproductive health

These presentations can either be an individual presentation or a panel. Some expressions of interest will be selected for a poster presentation. Your story will encourage conversations at the conference on changes that occurred in our community. They can be big or small, about you, about your colleagues, or about your community.

This expression of interest will close on July 3, 2023 to allow WHISE time to organise the program and select participants.

Please note a 30 minute briefing session will be held on June 27 at 11.30am (online) to provide information about the presentations and answer questions.
To register your interest please book in here. Session will be recorded and shared with all registrants.
