Eligibility Rules & Award Categories

Rules & Scoring:
Please note the rules and scoring are changing for the 2025 award season. This year each category will max out at three business nominations, except for Business of the Year which will max out at five, and Small Business of the Year, which will be chosen from the twelve Small Business of the Month recipients.

The nominees will be chosen based on the nomination letters that are sent in from the community via the form below. The committee will make their decisions based on the responses the nominator provides in the boxes below.

The nominees will be announced on December 20th. The nominees will be scored based on the following criteria:

33%- The quality of the nominating letter explaining why that business deserves to win that category

33%- The committee's score based on how well that business matches the award description

34%- The public voting that will occur December 23rd-January 3rd

The nomination period is November 25th-December 15th!

*To qualify as a nominee the business or individual must be a current member of the Chamber of Commerce, have an impact on the Plant City community, and meet the description of the award for which they are being nominated.

Award Categories:
Business of the Year Award
To be awarded to a business or organization deemed outstanding in their overall business practices

Best Community Event Award
To be awarded to a business or organization that hosts the best overall event in our community

Community Service Award
To be awarded to an entity that has given back to our community and has enriched the lives of those living in our area

Customer Service Award
To be awarded to a business or organization that has consistently gone above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service

Entrepreneur of the Year Award
To be awarded to a business owner in the community whose innovation has had a positive impact

Employer of the Year Award
To be awarded to a business nominated by their employees/the public as the best employer to work for

Health, Wellness, & Fitness Award
To be awarded to a business that has improved the overall quality of life for its client and our community

Non-Profit Award
To be awarded to a leading non-profit organization in our community

New Business Award
To be awarded to a newly established business that has demonstrated a high level of success within its first two years of operating

Emerging Leader Award
To be awarded to an exceptional young professional changing the face of leadership in our community
