Give her an Rx for misoprostol and have her take it 1 hour prior to a followup trial of insertion.

Adjust the patient's position and use traction of the tenaculum.

Tell patient that she needs to consider a different form of birth control.

Try to place IUD without sounding uterus.

Tell him that he doesn't need an IUD because the testosterone is sufficient contraception.

Have him followup for IUD insertion.

Prescribe Vaginal Estrogen tablet to be taken 1 to 2 weeks prior to insertion.

Decrease his testosterone dose 1 week prior to insertion.

Use previous scar as a guide and place incision there.

Order an xray of the arm to identify location.

Refer to OBGYN.

Order an ultrasound.
