1. Hello and welcome to the Barkly Regional Council Traffic Management Study community survey.

Cardno has been appointed by Barkly Regional Council to carry out a Traffic Management Study of five communities within the Council area. We want to understand any concerns you may have about safety on the roads and paths in your community and what you would like to see improved. You know your community much better than we do so your local knowledge is really important.

We would be grateful if you would answer the following questions to help us begin to understand the transport related issues in your community.

The information gathered from this survey will help us to identify the most important issues for each community and advise the Council on the best way of making improvements.

We will include recommendations for improvements and priorities in a Traffic Management Study report to help Council and the Territory Government make decisions about future spending.

The Cardno project team will be visiting each community to do a walk-around accompanied by representatives from each of the communities on the following dates:

> Tennant Creek – Friday, 5th August 2016
> Alpurrurulam – Monday, 8th August 2016
> Ampilatwatja – Tuesday, 9th August 2016
> Arlparra – Wednesday, 10th August 2016
> Ali Curung – Thursday, 11th August 2016

The project team would love to speak to you about transport issues that interest you while they are in your community so if you’d like to share your ideas or concerns directly with us please contact your community leader or Cardno’s consultation manager (contact details below) so we know to ask for you when we are there.

Any questions or to arrange to meet the project team when they are in your community, please contact:
