7.Promoting Black Representation and Diversity in Banking and Finance Sector
We invite you to participate in a research project exploring the underrepresentation of Black professionals in the Banking and Finance sector in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.
Systemic barriers in Canada lead to unfair treatment and disadvantages for racial groups, especially Black individuals. The Banking and Finance industry lacks significant Black representation, especially in leadership positions. Addressing and understanding these disparities is crucial for a more equitable society.
This study is part of The Workplace Opportunities: Removing Barriers to Equity (WORBE) by ESDC a grants and contributions program aimed at supporting employers to enhance the representation of underrepresented individuals within their organizations."

The project is implemented through the Black Women Business Network (BWBN) and its partners Vancity and Black Buildup.
