Survey Introduction

The Namibian Standards Institution (NSI) is a statutory body established in terms of Section 2 of the Standards Act, 2005 (Act No. 18 of 2005) to serve as the National Standards Body (NSB) for Namibia. The NSI was then mandated to facilitate the implementation of the National Quality Policy (NQP), part of the NQP implementation is the development National Standardization Strategy (NSS).
The NSS is a need-based guideline document that identifies key priority sectors for standards development.
Kindly complete this short survey to assist in the development of standards within your sector.


1. "sector” means sectors such as: agriculture, fishing, mining, forestry, electricity & water, financial and insurance, banking, tourism, real estate, administration, education, tourism etc. Sectors could be in the agriculture and mining, manufacturing or services areas.


2. "Standard topic" means the topic/subject a standard is needed for, such as-a standard for making shoes.

3. Ranking Guidelines Rank 1 – very important and urgent, Rank 2 – highly important, Rank 3 – moderately important, Rank 4 – of secondary importance,  Rank 5 – not important
