Connecticut College Application Campaign 2026-27
By launching the Connecticut College Application Campaign (CCAC) we hope to streamline the process and make it easier for you to deliver an outstanding and productive year for your seniors. Through the single application you can sign up for one, two, or all three initiatives. In order to be eligible for promotional materials and giveaways, however, your school must sign-up for the full campaign – all three initiatives.
With the streamlined format of the single application, we will meet virtually a few times throughout the year to ensure we have some updated information from your site as events come closer. Please make note of the dates below!
IMPORTANT DATES
- October 15, 2026: Deadline to sign up for CCAC and receive support with your Connecticut College Application Day Event.
- January 15, 2027: Deadline to report Connecticut College Application Campaign data.
CONNECTICUT COLLEGE APPLICATION CAMPAIGN COMPONENTSConnecticut College Application Campaign (November 2 - January 15) - CCAC is part of the American College Application Campaign initiative with the goal to provide every graduating high school senior the opportunity to apply to college and for financial aid. Special focus is placed on assisting students who would be the first in their families to attend college and students who may not have otherwise seriously considered applying to college.
Connecticut College Application Week (Week of November 2) – Application Week is the onsite heart of the campaign, when trained community volunteers come directly into your school to help seniors complete and submit at least one college application. Higher Heights and CCAN recruit and train the volunteers — college admissions professionals, school counselors, college access professionals, alumni, college students, and community and corporate partners — and match them to participating schools based on your needs. The week coincides with the Governor's proclamation recognizing Connecticut College Application Week and with the Connecticut College Systems Free Application Day on Monday, November 2, 2026, when students can apply to Connecticut's public colleges and universities at no cost.
FSA ID & FAFSA Completion Campaign (October 1 to March 1) - FSA ID & FAFSA Completion Campaign in CCAN's initiative focused on encouraging a school-wide rally around FAFSA and scholarship completion to help students find cash for college.
Decision Day (Around May 1 through May 31) - Decision Day is part of the National College Signing Day initiative, and is focused on recognizing high school seniors for their postsecondary educational plans and encouraging younger students and families to prepare early for postsecondary education. College Decision Day is held annually on or around May 1 and is designed to coincide with the date that most seniors must inform a college of their plans to enroll.
