Strong relationships are important for everyone, but especially for young people. Student athletes have a unique opportunity to offer mentoring support to their peers to help them learn and grow -- on and off the field! The Pittsburgh Steelers, The Mentoring Partnership and Giant Eagle are teaming up to build its 5th annual Jerome Bettis Leadership Team featuring 11 high school football players from around the region who go above and beyond in providing mentor-like support to their teammates. Winners will be recognized on the field at a Steelers home game and they'll receive a $1,000 donation to their school’s football program!
One player will be chosen each week over the course of 11 weeks during the football season to receive the Jerome Bettis Leadership Award. Nominations only need to be submitted once to be considered over the course of the 11-week entry period.
