Elizabeth Dole Foundation's Hidden Heroes Resource Directory 

Support Organization Questionnaire

In fall of 2016, the Elizabeth Dole Foundation launched HiddenHeroes.org, an online destination for military and veteran caregivers -- the spouses, parents, and loved-ones caring for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans at home. A key feature of this website is a resource directory of carefully vetted support services for military caregivers. Through this directory, our goal is to connect caregivers to organizations and direct service providers that can best support their unique needs.

25.The Elizabeth Dole Foundation commissioned the first comprehensive, evidence-based national study of military caregivers. The two year study examined the needs of caregivers of all war eras, identified gaps in services and support provided to caregivers, and formulated recommendations to address them. As a result of the study, the Foundation identified seven distinct areas of need, listed below.
