General NPIAP Product Use Policies

Individuals or groups seeking permission for the use or licensing of an NPIAP product are required to submit this Permission Use Request Form. Upon receipt, the form will be reviewed by NPIAP. Should the request receive approval, a contract will be drafted detailing the applicable charges and permitted uses of the NPIAP product.
Please note, that this form does not need to be submitted for personal use of products purchased in the NPIAP Education Center.

The policies below must be followed when it comes to copyright and licensing relationships:

  • Users of NPIAP materials are required to acknowledge the NPIAP by stating: "Used with permission from the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, copyright 20xx." The NPIAP should be cited as the original source.
  • For written publications, the following statement must appear prominently within the document: "The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) is an independent organization and does not endorse or promote the products or services of any organizations that use NPIAP’s educational resources. Reproduction of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) materials in this document does not imply endorsement by the NPIAP of any products, organizations, companies, or any statements made by the organization or company." For electronic publications, such as PowerPoint presentations, this statement must appear in at least one location in the publication.
  • NPIAP logos included in copyrighted photos or images must remain intact when these materials are used in a for-profit user’s publication.
