Survey Description

NSFA continues to work on behalf of farmers, especially when it comes to labour issues. NSFA is reaching out to farmers to ask them about their experiences with labour insurance, farm risk, and business risk management practices.
 
We estimate it will take 10 minutes to complete this comprehensive survey. Participation in the survey is completely voluntary and participants may skip questions or conclude the survey at any time.
 
Objective:
The objective of the survey is: A) To better understand farmers experiences with insurance and their feelings towards Workers Compensation Boards versus private insurance. B) To estimate the level of risk within the agriculture sector from an employer perspective.

I would choose employee insurance through Workers Compensation Board NS (WCB NS) over a private insurer.
Because Nova Scotia is one of the few provinces that does not mandate employee insurance for the agriculture sector, this creates a potentially large risk for the sector overall.
