After participating in this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe the criteria (definition and clinical indicators) for advanced heart failure and its implications for perioperative management (conflicts and concerns).
- Outline a comprehensive perioperative management plan for patients with advanced heart failure, including induction, analgesia, use of pressors, fluid management, delirium prevention strategies, goals of care, and disposition.
- Review key findings of TTE/TEE to guide perioperative management and systemic venous congestion treatment.
