This award recognizes students whose leadership on-campus has enhanced and fostered a culture of care and collaboration within the AUC community. Awardees have used leadership skills to increase student participation and engagement in on-campus activities. The awardee's leadership activities have also incorporated principles of diversity and inclusion into the student activities. 
 
Award Amount: $5,000 one-time award towards tuition (applied the following semester)
 
Deadline: March 7, 2024 by 4:00 p.m. AST

Eligibility requirements
  • Must be a currently enrolled 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th semester student (UK Track students are not eligible)
  • Complete the award application (see below)
  • Personal essay (see below)
Essay
To apply for the Student Engagement Scholarship, submit an essay that describes the following: 

1.    Describe your involvement with the AUC campus community, including contributions to campus leadership. 

2.    How has your engagement with the campus community contributed to increased student participation and engagement for on-campus activities?  

3.    Describe how these activities have contributed to your self-development and the development of your peers as future physicians. 

4.    Describe your plan for continued engagement during your enrollment at AUC.

5.    Please report if you have an existing AUC-provided scholarship and the amount of that source of support.
