BUSD Bullying and Harrassment Survey

Thank you for taking the time to complete this brief survey. The questions are designed so that either students or adults can answer. Unfortunately, they are not designed to capture information about more than one student at a time. If you have more than one student in a BUSD school and would like to submit information regarding all students, please complete one questionnaire for each.

Please keep in mind the following definition of bullying as you complete the survey:

A person is bullied when he or she is exposed, repeatedly and over time, to negative actions on the part of one or more other persons, and she or he has difficulty defending herself or himself.

This definition includes three important parts:
1. Bullying is aggressive conduct/behavior that involves unwanted, negative actions such as verbal abuse, threats, humiliation, intimidation or physical abuse.
2. Bullying involves a pattern of behavior repeated over time.
3. Bullying involves an imbalance of power or strength.
