The Golden Bear community is excited to have you!

As part of the onboarding process for new HIES students, we offer a Host Family program and pair new 1st - 12th grade students with a current HIES student in his/her grade.

This Golden Bear Buddy serves as your student's resource for all things HIES! Their family will arrange get-togethers over the summer and will join you in August at the HIES New Family Campus Kickoff!

To help us match your child with a Golden Bear Buddy, please fill out this fun, and brief, survey.

  • If you have more than one child joining HIES this fall, please complete a survey for each one individually.
  • Please complete this survey by Wednesday, April 22nd.
  • If your child would prefer to opt out of the Golden Bear Host program, you will be able to indicate that below.
