New graduation requirements have been placed on high school students, as a result of recent changes in state law. The law requires students, beginning with the class of 2019, to earn 24 credits to graduate. Previously, the requirement was 22 credits.  In addition to the increased requirement for credits to graduate, a number of other emerging needs make this an opportune time to review the current high school daily schedule (6 period day). Many high schools in the region are re-examining the student daily schedule, to see if their might be alternatives to the 6 period day, which provide greater flexibility in meeting the diverse needs of our students to ensure they are prepared for career, college and citizenship.

In the spring of 2016 the Snoqualmie Valley School District launched a High School Schedule Advisory Committee to explore possible daily schedule options. The committee, made up of students, parents and high school staff has been given the charge to review research, investigate various schedule options, gather feedback from stakeholders and provide a recommendation to the superintendent, along with a possible timeline for implementation. The High School Schedule Advisory Committee is interested in your perspective and is asking for student/parent input. Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions. Thank you!
