Regional Mapping and Wayfinding—Bus Stop Sign Survey

Welcome!

Thank you in advance for taking our survey. Your responses will help make it easier to navigate and explore the Bay Area using public transit.
Introduction

Almost 20 transit agencies run public buses in the Bay Area. Each one has its own bus stop sign, and they all look different. This can be confusing for riders because they have to learn new signs when they travel to different places.

As part of the Regional Mapping and Wayfinding Project (learn more at: https://mtc.ca.gov/MappingWayfinding), the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is working with all the bus agencies to make one sign design that everyone will use. That way, no matter where you go, the signs will look the same.

In early 2025, MTC put up test signs to see how well they worked (more details at: https://www.mtc.ca.gov/news/data-show-new-signs-maps-make-transit-easier-use). After listening to what people said, we made some changes. Now we need your help again! Your feedback will help MTC finish the final design for the bus stop signs this fall.
