Connex Foundation Road Show Charity Event Vote Question Title * 1. Vote on ONE charity event you would like to participate in MOST. Bears & Blankets: During the event, as teams earn points, they will be choosing their bears and carefully stuffing them to huggable perfection. Bear-size t-shirts are skillfully designed and decorated by the artistic members of your group. Once these furry friends are created, they are dressed in their custom shirt thus giving them an identity all their own. In addition, each team will use their creativity to swaddle the bears with warm soft blankets. These blankets will help promote an added sense of security for the children receiving them. All the items made will be delivered to crisis centers and law enforcement agencies that will distribute them to children who have experienced trauma. Fostering Hope: Fostering Hope is a heart-warming, charitable team-building program devoted to helping adoptive and foster care kids. The group will be formed into teams and issued iPads. The iPads will serve up tasks, challenges, and trivia, including photo and video images. The points gained during the iPad activities will be used to purchase the items your team will need to complete their Foster Hope care packs. Teams will stuff backpacks of necessities for these kiddos. Teams will also be tasked with writing notes of encouragement to the children who will be receiving your wonderful gifts. Operation Military Care: Teams will assemble military care packages for our men and women currently serving over seas. Personal touches in the form of written letters to the recipients will also be included in the boxes. The care package supplies have been carefully chosen based on the items most requested by service men and women and their families. Backpacks for Kids: During the event volunteers will stuff backpacks with school supplies for local children in need. Personal notes of love and encouragement are included for the children receiving the backpacks. This is a year long effort to elevate and give the gift of education to children who may not otherwise been afforded the opportunity. Done
