Engaging Young People in Bushfire Recovery Workshops
Let's get started
BRV have commissioned the Youth Affairs Council Victoria (YACVic) to deliver a series of workshops on engaging with young people. Workshops are available to Community Recovery Committee (CRC) members across Eastern Victoria and those working with young people impacted by the 2019/20 bushfires.
The workshops will assist CRC’s and workers in developing engagement strategies when working with young people on recovery based activities locally. The workshops will be delivered online via Zoom across each LGA (Towong, Alpine and East Gippsland). There are 30 places available for each workshop with priority given to CRC members in each local area (East Gippsland, Alpine and Towong).
Please contact YACVic Rural Programs Coordinator, Carla Hall (She/Her) chall@yacvic.org.au or 0459 158 647 for further details.
Our registration forms ask you if you have any specific accessibility requirements like access to an interpreter, visual aids or wheelchair accessible venue. We want to include as many people as possible so please tell us if you have accessibility requirements.
Further info Pronouns - a pronoun is basically a word used to refer to a person other than their name like they, she and he. We ask you for your preferred pronoun because there are heaps of them out there, and there are lots of reasons it’s important to use the correct pronouns a person prefers.
