Hi Brownie Parents,
It has been suggested that the Brownie troop try to schedule some additional meetings each month to work on badges/patches. I am trying to determine the interest in this endeavor.
To run weekday meetings, we would need to determine interest and then decide upon a day/time to meet. I would need to make sure space is available at Kimmel's Church. Typically my weeknights are hectic, so I cannot guarantee that I could be there each time. That is why we would need additional assistant leaders to run those meetings. We would need to following the GS ratios that are in place, but the volunteer/scout ratio for Brownies allows for more girls per volunteer. We must have a minimum two volunteers present at all meetings. These are the girl scout guidelines.
For girls who cannot attend weekday meetings, we can set something up that they can work on these patches/badges at home if they desire.
