ABOUT THE YOUTH COALITION
The Youth Coalition of the ACT, the peak body for youth affairs, is responsible for representing the interests of people aged between 12 and 25 years of age, and those who work with them. The Youth Coalition is represented on many ACT Government Advisory structures and provides advice to the ACT Government on youth issues a well as providing information to youth services about policy and program matters.

ABOUT THE BIG RED BOOK
The Big Red Book is a handbook and directory for people who work with young people in the ACT. It was developed in response to needs identified by the youth, alcohol and other drugs, mental health, family support, education, health, community and government sectors. This resource has been designed for use by a range of professionals who may have contact with young people including workers in the youth, alcohol and other drugs, mental health and family support sectors, as well as general practitioners and teachers. In addition to providing service profiles, this resource also provides strategy-based information for workers.

The Big Red Book is divided into a number of sections. Following the introductory section, the service profile section is divided by service type. For each service type the following information is included:
• A brief summary of helpful information for workers;
• Service profiles; and
• Additional resources including more services, information and key dates for your diary.

If you have never used The Big Red Book, you may like to familiarise yourself with the previous (2010) edition to gain an understanding of the type of information that is included in this resource. The previous edition is available online by clicking here.

ABOUT THIS SURVEY:
The Youth Sector has seen many changes since the last edition of The Big Red Book which was launched in 2010. In order to ensure that current services which are available to young people in the ACT and surrounding region are included in the new edition, we are asking organisations to complete this brief survey. It should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
