The H. Bland O'Connor, Jr. Support Person of the Year Award is presented annually to a veterinary technician, office management, kennel or other staff person with a minimum of two years of experience who has distinguished himself or herself in actively promoting animal health and welfare on the job and in the community.
Criteria for Nomination:
- Nominee must be employed by a member in good standing of the LVMA.
- The individual should be active in promoting animal health and welfare on the job and in the community.
- The individual should have a minimum of two years experience as a working veterinary technician, office management, or kennel help, etc.
- Nominations should include employment information, educational background, professional service and community service accomplishments.
