2023 Iowa Produce Safety Survey |
This 13-question survey is an annual review to determine how the Produce Safety Rule applies to your operation for the 2023 season. Many produce farms in Iowa may be fully or partially exempt from the Produce Safety Rule. Your response will help determine your farm’s status and assess whether your farm is covered by the Produce Safety Rule.
This survey should only be completed by commercial produce farms. While completing the survey please note that some questions refer to produce while other questions refer to food. Produce includes fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts, mushrooms, and edible beans, peas, and lentils. Food includes all produce as well as other human food, animal feed, and pet food.
After your response is processed, we will inform you of Produce Safety Rule exemptions or requirements that apply to your farm. Free technical assistance is available to help farms with compliance.
