Thank you for your interest in our 2019 Year of the Pig Design Contest! All are welcome to enter the contest and there are no age restrictions. The Contest begins Friday, September 14 and ends Friday, October 26 at 5PM (Pacific Time)

With your submission, please be sure to include hi-res (1080 x 1080 PNG) files of the following:

Image of the pig with background in black and white (suitable for use as a coloring contest)
Image of the pig with background in color
Image of the pig without background in black and white
Image of the pig without background in color

Entries will be judged based on:

30% Authenticity in capturing the animal related to its Lunar New Year personality, Lunar New Year cultural traditions and/or Seattle’s Chinatown-International District neighborhood
30% Functionality in terms of the adaptability of the design for use on the coloring contest, promotional materials and merchandise
40% Overall Impression and Appeal to both younger and older audiences.

* 4. PARTICIPATION. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Contest is compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor, which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, the Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.

By entering the Contest, Entrants and each Winner agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sponsor, its directors, employees, representatives and agents, and related parties (collectively, the “Sponsor Entities”) from and against any and all liability, damages, claim or cause of action (however named or described), including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest and/or receipt or use or misuse of the prize awarded in the Contest.

Entrants and each Winner shall release all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against Sponsor, further covenant not to sue the Sponsor or any of the other Sponsor Entities and hereby acknowledge that neither Sponsor nor any Sponsor Entity has made or is in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Contest or the prizes.

The Sponsor Entities are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (2) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Entry process or the Contest; (3) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of Entries; or (4) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from an Entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. If for any reason an Entrant’s Entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, Entrant’s sole remedy is another Entry in the Contest at the discretion of the Sponsor.

* 5. GENERAL CONDITIONS. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately under- mine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. The Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost or eligible entries. Entrants acknowledge and agree that the Sponsor shall have the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, publish, promote, broadcast or otherwise display or use entries in any way it sees fit without limitation or compensation to entrants. Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes a Winner’s consent to Sponsor’s use of a Winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinion and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.

By signing here, you are consenting to the use of your electronic signature in lieu of an original signature on paper. You have the right to request that you sign a paper copy instead. By checking here, you are waiving that right. After consent, you may, upon written requests to us, obtain a paper copy of an electronic record. No fee will be charged for such copy and no special hardware or software is required to view it. Your agreement to use an electronic signature with us for any documents will continue until such time as you notify us in writing that you no longer wish to use an electronic signature. There is no penalty for withdrawing your consent. You should always make sure that we have a current email address in order to contact you regarding any changes, if necessary.
