Background:
Three buildingSMART chapters (Brazil, Portugal, and USA) plus an independent consultancy (Strategic Building Innovation) are sponsoring a new effort this year — openBIM® Business Value — providing a quick start to buildingSMART International's proposed Strategic Project for Business Value Capture.

☞ Your input, through participation in an online survey, will help provide valuable information for buildingSMART members and the entire industry.

The project has been a collaborative effort to [1] establish a meaningful metrics framework, [2] gather data in selected categories, [3] analyze data, and [4] produce presentation material documenting performance gains and the good practices that produce them. The presentation materials will be used by the chapters to provide webinars, and will also be made available to the broader buildingSMART community empowering others to augment their own presentations with persuasive content.

As you can see from the process outline below, we are at the stage of collecting Metrics and Good Practices via the survey, and will occasionally follow up with selected brief interviews.
