Darwin High School Reconciliation Action Plan

WELCOME!

The Darwin High School Board has been working on a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for Darwin High and we would like to invite you to be part of it! A RAP is formal statement of commitment to reconciliation , with a plan for action. Many schools and other organisations and institutions have a RAP - if you would like to know more please get in touch with the DHS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander committee

All members of our community - students, staff and parents - are warmly encouraged to contribute your ideas
1.At DHS we are aiming to build RESPECT
- by promoting a positive, welcoming and culturally safe learning environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families
and
- Actively promoting respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the wider school community

2.At DHS we are working towards RECONCILIATION
- through developing and supporting initiatives to promote understanding of reconciliation, days of national significance and contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures

- Integrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions into the curriculum
