Welcome to the survey

Starting at approximately 5:00 PM on June 9, 2025, the Virginia Senate Committee on Privileges and Elections held an unusual short-notice meeting in which the majority of Senate Democrats opposed Governor Youngkin’s latest nominations for the Boards of Visitors (BOV), including VMI.

This action followed repeated accusations from Maj. Gen. Wins, who claimed the BOV exhibited misfeasance and bias against him for not renewing his contract.

During their brief tenures to date, the only significant issues that Hartsock, Reardon, and Suarez engaged in were voting against tuition hikes and opposing the renewal of the Superintendent’s contract.

The Cadet Foundation continues to condemn the blanket removal of these dedicated alumni, seemingly without any viable and substantiated justification.

As they did when the same committee previously ousted distinguished alumni Quinton Elliott ’85 and Clifford Foster from the Board, the VMI Alumni Agencies and VMI remain silent on these matters.

The question for the VMI Family is:

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
