Survey of interest in the Monterey Meeting House

How important is it to you that the Monterey Meeting House is preserved for public community uses? You may know that the Monterey Congregational Church expects that they will have to relinquish ownership of their church building in the center of town due to declining membership. A new committee has been formed to consider whether a community-based non-profit should take over the building, both to preserve it and broaden its use. New uses might include cultural, educational, and charitable activities and performances. The building could host larger community gatherings as it did in the past when it was known as the ‘Monterey Meeting House’.
The survey below is part of our deliberations.
