Thank you for your interest in our study. This study aims to compare and question the massive usage of plastic bags, awareness building of the plastic waste problem as well as to examine how many people are trying to avoid plastic bags already or are reusing bags.

Filling this survey will take around 9 minutes. Thank you in advance for participating, your contribution is important and very much appreciated. All the information filled in will be handled with care and strictly confidential.

This is an international City comparison study to understand the motivation to reduce plastic and to raise awareness of the plastic waste. Our research team consists of Assistant Professor Bairong Wang and Assistant Professor Yong Li from Shanghai Maritime University, PhD student Ting Tang from University of Zurich, and Elvira Kaspar with EcoScout Switzerland, a startup in sustainability located in Zurich.
